Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport(Chinese:????????????????????????;pinyin:Ch??ngd?? Shu??ngl??u Gu??j?? J??ch??ng) is the major airport in Chengdu, China. It's the fifth busiest airport in China and 96th all over the world. The airport started service in 1938 as a military airport in the second Sino-Japanese War and World War II. Now it's an international civil airport with flights to more than 20 international destinations and most domestic airports. There's a express-way connecting downtown Chengdu with the airport, and the under-building subway will do, too. It's located in the north of Shuangliu County, about 16km southwest from the downtown of Chengdu. It has the IATA Airport Code CTU.
