Diocesan Boys' School (DBS, 拔萃男書院) is a boys only secondary school located at 131 Argyle Street, Mongkok, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It was founded in 1869, making it one of the oldest secondary schools in Hong Kong.

The mission of the school is "to provide a liberal education based on Christian principles".

The history of DBS dates back to March 1860, when the Honorary Hercules Robinson|Lady Robinson decided to establish a girls' school known as the 'Diocesan Native Female Training School'. In 1867 the school first accepted boys, and finally became firmly established in July 1869 and had its name changed to 'Diocesan Home and Orphanage' (DHO). The enrollment consisted of 23 boys and girls. The name 'Diocesan Boys' School' was first used in 1913 when girls no longer studied at the school.

During Japanese occupation the school building was used as a military hospital. It was also rumoured that the school also served as an execution site for prisioners of war kept by the Japanese. The school re-opened on September 11, 1946 and entered a time of recuperation.

The School Centenary was celebrated on January 27, 1969 when old boys, parents and past staff members were invited to witness the release of one hundred pigeons and the illumination of a 5 x 40 feet neon sign saying 'DBS-100' on top of the main building.

DBS students are encouraged to be all-rounders; they excel not only academically but also in sports and the arts.

In additoon to academic achievments, the school also dominates various inter-school music and sports competitions regularly.

Diocesan Boys' School continues to be renovated and modernised, and now provides education to some 1,500 boys.

There are plenty of facilities in DBS, including school hall, lecture hall, swimming pool, gymnasium, cover-playground, science laboratories, music room, library, language laboratory, French room, multi-media learning centres, computer rooms, etc.

The pride and joy of DBS, however, is its grass field. Open to all students for sports and games during the school year, the school field is a rarity in space-challenged Hong Kong because of its size - larger than two full-sized football pitches combined - and its easy accessibility.
