Direct Subsidy Scheme

Wikipedia

The Direct Subsidy Scheme is the mode of operation of schools in Hong Kong, such as St. Paul's Co-educational College and St. Paul's College, Hong Kong|St. Paul's College adopt.

It is freer as schools under the DSS scheme are not required to follow the directions of the EMB (Hong Kong Education and Manpower Bureau|Education and Manpower Bureau) as tightly as other subsidised or grant schools do. Subsidisation is given to DSS schools based on the number of students and the average subsidy per head that other non-DSS schools received from the Hong Kong government.
