Guan Dao (sword)|Dao (關刀 also Kwandao, Kwando) is a Chinese weapon named after Guan Yu. It is a sabre with a long handle which resembles a halberd. The weapon was designed for horseback combat in battlefield, however, the user also needed to know how to fight with it on foot. Guan dao is the common name for the yanyuedao (偃月刀 pinyin yan3 yue4 dao1 which translates as 'reclining moon blade').
