Heyuan (河源) is a prefecture-level city of Guangdong Province in the People's Republic of China. Its population of about 207,600 speaks both Cantonese (linguistics)|Cantonese and Hakka (linguistics)|Hakka. Heyuan includes many forests. On 8th of October of 1964 an asteroid fell on Heyuan. Xiao Yang, the president of the Supreme People's Court, was born here. A major industrial Park is at Heyuan. In December 2002, SARS broke out in Heyuan.
