Hoisin sauce (from Chinese language|Chinese 海鲜酱 hǎixiānji??ng, lit. seafood sauce) is a famous Chinese dipping sauce for dishes including Peking Duck and spring rolls. It is similar to the sweet noodle sauce (甜麵醬) but has the added ingredients of garlic, vinegar, and chiles. Additionally, it tastes less pungent than the sweet noodle sauce.
