Jade Kwan (Chinese Name:關心妍 Kwan Sum-yin, Originally 關惠文 Kwan Wai-man) is a well-known Cantopop singer in Hong Kong. Jade is the winner of the "New Talent Singing Competition" of Canada (???????????????????????????????????????) in 1999 and has won the "Most Potential Award" (???????????????) in the "New Talent Singing Competition 1999" (1999?????????????????????????????????)by the song "face" (???) originally sang by singer Faye Wong. The competition was held in Shanghai, China. She was first known to the public as the name "Kwan Sum-yin" in the year 2002. Unlike many 'singers' in Hong Kong over the past few years were chosen from a model company instead of people who knew how to sing, a lot of people liked Jade's singing talent and great results were received on the albums she released. Her first two albums "Jade-1" and "Jade-2" received encouraging gold-records. Over the years, she won many musical awards in many different award ceremonies in Hong Kong and China. Jade is multi-talented, not only does she have a talent in singing, she also studied Music Composition as a minor subject in the University of British Columbia, and knows how to play a few musical instruments. She plays the piano, guitar and saxophone. category:Chinese Canadians from Hong Kong|Kwan, Jade category:Cantopop|Kwan, Jade category:Hong Kong singers|Kwan, Jade This article is licensed under the GNU Free Documentation License.
