Jiaozhou Governor's Hall is a former government building in Qingdao, Shandong provinces of China|province, China, that was built from 1904 to 1906 and designed by Germany|German architect Mahlke. It has a gross space of 7500 square metres and originally served as the Jiaozhou governor's office building. In 1914 it became the Japanese garrison headquarters, until 1922 when Qingdao regained sovereignty. In the second world war it was again occupied by the Japanese, and became the seat of their regime from 1938-1945. The government of the People's Republic of China was seated there from the time of Qingdao's liberation in June 1949 until July 1994.
