Kowloon Tong (九龍塘; pinyin: jiu3 long2 tang2) is an area in Hong Kong's Kowloon peninsula, part of Kowloon City and Sham Shui Po Districts of Hong Kong|districts. It is a lesser-densed residential district, usually for the upper class and upper middle class in the city.

In Kowloon Tong, there is Beacon Hill, Hong Kong|Beacon Hill (畢架山) - 457 m high, Festival Walk (又 一 城) - a shopping centre, and Waterloo Road goes from here to Yau Ma Tei.




The Hong Kong Baptist University and the City University of Hong Kong are located in Kowloon Tong. For the primary education and secondary education, most top chinese schools in Kowloon peninsula are located in the district as well as the british primary school Beacon Hill School (Hong Kong)|Beacon Hill School.




Kowloon Tong is served by the stations of the same name of the Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation|KCR railway (East Rail) and of the MTR metro system (Kwun Tong Line). The two lines interchange here.

There is also Waterloo Road, which connects Lion Rock Tunnel to Sha Tin.
