Lam Bun (林彬, died August 24, 1967) was a victim in the Hong Kong 1967 riots and a radio commentator in Commercial Radio Hong Kong. During the 1967 riots, he criticized the leftist agitators on his own radio programmes, even creating a programme called "Cannot refrain from strike" (欲罷不能) to satirize the leftist agitators. On August 24, 1967, Lam Bun was murdered while driving work. A death squad, posing as road maintenance workers, stopped his vehicle on the street close to where he lived, poured petrol onto Lam and his cousin and set them on fire. Both Lam and his cousin died later in a hospital. No one was arrested, although it was believed that 1967 riot leader, Yeung Kwong (楊光), was the one who ordered the murder. The Lam Bun event angered the people of Hong Kong, eventually leading the government of Hong Kong to suppress the riots. With the help of Commercial Radio Hong Kong and some Hong Kong citizens, his wife and his 3 daughters fled to France.
