This station is part of Shanghai Metro/Line|2 and is also one of two Maglev stations in the city. With the Maglev one can go travel to Pudong International Airport from this station within eight minutes. Currently there are plans to extend the maglev to the nearby city of Hangzhou to the south of Shanghai.
