Lushan National Geological Park (also known as the Lushan National Park and the Lushan Geopark) is located at the Mount Lushan region of the Jiangxi Province in the People's Republic of China, and streatching to the Boyang Lake basin within a 500 sq km area. It is a favoured domestic tourist destination. It features exceptional upthrows from the Quaternary age, amidst stunning landscapes: summits and peaks, valleys, gorges, gullies, rock formations, caves and waterfalls. In 1996, it became a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage Site. In 1998, the Lushan National Park became a UNESCO Geopark, and is included in UNESCO's International Network of Geoparks (which includes twenty-eight parks, seven of which are located in China).
