Musa (2001; AKA The Warrior) is a South Korean epic film that stars Yu Rongguang and Zhang Ziyi. The semi-historical story follows the adventures of a Korean peace delegation as they try to get back to Korea through the inhospitable desert land of northern China. The film is regarded as being one of the biggest film|motion pictures in the history of Contemporary culture of South Korea|Korean cinema. spoiler The film is set in 1375, during a turbulant period in History of China|Chinese history. The Ming Dynasty had been established seven years earlier, in 1368, replacing the Yuan Dynasty. When a Korean peace delegation arrives in China, they are banished on suspicion of being Mongols|Mongol spies. As they struggle to return to their home in Korea, they find themselves pulled into having to protect a beautiful Ming princess (Zhang Ziyi) from Mongol marauders.
