The Old Wan Chai Post Office is the oldest surviving post office in Hong Kong. This L-shaped building situated at the junction of Wan Chai Gap Road and Queen's Road East, was erected between 1912 and 1913, and opened on March 1, 1915 as the Wan Chai Post Office. It is a simple pitched-roof structure with attractive gable ends and mouldings. It is not known whether the building was originally built and designed for such purpose. The post office ceased to operate in 1992, after having served the Wan Chai community continuously for 77 years. The Old Wan Chai Post Office was declared a Declared monuments of Hong Kong|historical building on May 18, 1990. The building is now operated by the Environmental Protection Department as Environmental Resource Centre. Image:DSCN1979.JPG|thumb|200px|The interior of the Post Office
