The Hong Kong Alliance in Support of Patriotic Democratic Movements in China (the Alliance) (香港市民支援愛國民主運動聯合會 or 支聯會) is a pro-democratic organization that was established on May 21, 1989 with the purpose of supporting patriotic democratic movements in China. It has become the largest grassroots pro-democracy advocacy group in Hong Kong and is comprised of over 200 base level members from, labour, councillor offices, religious, students, women and political commentary interest groups. The Alliance has five operational goals: #Release the dissidents #rehabilitate the 1989 pro-democracy movement #demand accountability of the June 4th massace #end one-party dictatorship #bulid a democratic China. The Alliance adopts these slogans:
Every year, the Alliance holds "Vindicate June 4th and Relay the Torch" activity. It is led by Szeto Wah, an outspoken activist.
