Tom-Yum-Goong is an action film from Thailand, starring Tony Jaa in 2005 in film|2005. The fights are choreographed by the choreographer of Ong-Bak: Muay Thai Warrior|Ong-Bak (2003), Panna Ritikrai. spoiler In this movie, Tony Jaa plays Kham, the last of the family line of the guards that watched over the King's war elephants. His family's white elephants, which are meant to be presented to the king are stolen and smuggled to Australia, where Chinese triads and Vietnamese gangs rule the streets. Kham journeys to the land down under in search of the prized pachyderms. The climatic fights in this film involve a duel with: a Wushu martial artist (played by Jon Foo), a Vietnamese triad (Johnny played by Johny Nguyen), a Capoera fighter (played by Lateef Crowder), an extraordinarily strong bodyguard (TK played by Nathan Jones), and a whip-wielding triad boss (Rose played by Jing Xing). The plot is quite predictable and straightforward, and reminiscent of Tony Jaa's last film, in terms of its general storyline. The action sequences, however, are longer and much more elaborate than the ones in Ong-Bak: Muay Thai Warrior|Ong-Bak. Tony Jaa also incorporates a new style of muay thai into this movie (????????????????????????, roughly translated as "Elephant Boxing"), emphasizing grappling moves. The martial arts choreography were all done by Panna Ritikrai, who also worked on Ong-Bak.
