Tongling (zh-stpw|s=铜陵|t=銅陵|p=T?ngl?ng|w=T'ung<sup>2</sup>-ling<sup>2</sup>) is a city in Anhui Provinces of China|province of China.

In Chinese language|Chinese, tong (銅) means copper, while ling (陵) means city. This city produces a great deal of copper and is named after that. Actually, this area has a very long history of copper production, as evidenced from the work of Li Bai, one the most famous List of Chinese language poets|poets in Chinese history.

Tongling is a river port on the Yangtze River (Chang Jiang).
