Tsuen Wan district is part of Tsuen Wan New Town. The Sam Tung Uk Museum was set up in a former Hakka Walled villages of Hong Kong|walled village. The following islands of Hong Kong are administratively part of the district:
There are two railways serving the town:
Park Island Transport Co., Ltd. operates bus services between Park Island on Ma Wan Island and Tsing Yi (MTR)|Tsing Yi MTR station, Ma Wan and Kwai Fong, and a ferry service between Ma Wan and Central, Hong Kong|Central and between Ma Wan and Tsuen Wan West (next to the KCRC station). There are also tens of bus routes serving Tsuen Wan, mostly operated by Kowloon Motor Bus. Citybus (Hong Kong)|Citybus also operated a few.
