Sir William Peel (Chinese Translated Name ??????) was a British Empire|British colonial administrator who became the Governor of Hong Kong. This person shall not be confused with another William Peel, who was a decorated Crimean War veteran.

On 9 May, 1930, Peel was appointed as Governor of Hong Kong. During his tenure, the telephone system in Hong Kong was automated, and the first permanent flight between China and Hong Kong was established. Also, Peel presided over the construction of a Governor's Retreat in Fanling, in the New Territories.

Peel's appointment as Governor expired in May of 1935.







Peel's wife was Violet Peel.



Peel Rise in Hong Kong was named after him.
