Young and Dangerous (古惑仔) is a 1996 Hong Kong movie about a group of triad members and it details their adventures in a fictional triad. It was directed by Andrew Lau|Andrew Lau Wai Keung.
This movie contributed a lot to the public image of triads and was condemned by certain quarters as glorifying secret societies. However it was immensely popular in Hong Kong and spun numerous sequels and spin-offs. Its main actors and actresses have also became major stars in their own right.
- Young and Dangerous actually describes a series of movies and is not just one movie.

- Young and Dangerous 2 - This film focuses on Chicken (Jordan Chan), flashing back to his exile in Taiwan which is skipped over in the first film. - Young and Dangerous 4 - A branch leader position has opened up in Chicken's group and he is up against Barbarian to get it. Chan Ho Nam has to deal with finding a new successor to be the head of the Hung Hing group and they get the old boss' brother, who is a lot different to say the least.
- Young and Dangerous 5 - Chicken did not return for this film and Chan Ho Nam is on his own. He finds a beautiful new love interest (Hsu Chi) and has to deal with some young gang members trying to make something of themselves.
- Young and Dangerous 6: Born To Be King - A return to form for the series and a fitting ending. Chicken is set to marry the daughter (Anya) of a Japanese yakuza boss (Sonny Chiba). But when Chicken is set up, his old pals return to clear his name.
