Vern Yip, was born in 27-Jun-1968 in Hong Kong, China. He is expert on both an architectural and interior designer. He got a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from The University of Virginia, and a M.B.A. and Master of Architecture from The Georgia Institute of Technology.
In the Learning Channel's Trading Spaces, and new prime-time series for NBC titled Home Intervention have made him famous in the US. He is now also spreading the word on digital home makeovers through AOL and promoting the designs of Stainmaster carpet and Moen faucets. And he published a new book for Regan Books/ Harper Collins titled "Designing Spaces," currently being pre-sold on Amazon.com and due out in April 2005.
His design awards includes: 2003 Distinguished Southerner Award, Southern Living Magazine; 2000 Southeast Designer of the Year; Fusebox Restaurant, Atlanta, 1999 Best New Restaurant and DeuxPlex Bistro and Night Club, Atlanta, 1999 Best New Night Club. Vern is having partnerships with corporate clients like: AOL, Moen, and Stainmaster Carpets.
