Julie Chen (born January 6, 1970) is a Chinese American news anchor and television presenter. She was born in New York City. From 1999 to 2002, she was the host of the early-morning CBS Morning News. In 2002, she moved to the late morning and became one of the correspondents on The Early Show. She is the newsreader and sometimes interviewer on that program, a role that is not unlike fellow Asian American Ann Curry on The Today Show|Today. Since 2000, she has also been the eviction-night host on the American version of Big Brother (USA)|Big Brother.
