Liza Wang (汪明荃, born August 28, 1947) is an accomplished diva, actress and performer in the Hong Kong entertainment industry.
As a mainstay at the networks, Liza has gained almost legendary status for her efforts not merely in entertainment but also a proven philanthropist with a heart for social works and improving the lives in rural China and many other areas.
She is indeed a respected, influential and iconic personality among the Chinese speaking communities around the world. Her works and movies span four decades, from 1967 (She worked for another TV station until she came to TVB in 1971) to the present. Dedicated, hard working and blessed with an immaculate voice, Liza Wang made her mark in the Hong Kong television and entertainment industry. Her love and involvement with the Chinese Cantonese opera|opera scene has greatly contributed to her musical abilities. Her acting career has now taken a slower pace although she still maintains her position as hostess of various TVB programmes and other glittering functions held in honour of the television station.
